January Chapter Meeting

Please join the NYC Chapter for the January general meeting on Friday, January 15th at The Union League Club, 38 East 37th Street, New York, NY 10016. The meeting time is 11:30 am to 2:00 pm. A sit-down lunch will be served with soft drinks; a cash bar is available for additional beverages.
On weekdays, until Friday at 4:00 pm, jackets are required for gentlemen and appropriate equivalent dress is required for women. Ties are required only during dinner hours.

Registration for individuals, groups and tables of ten can be made below. Ticket purchases for 10, 20 and 30 will automatically reserve a table for the company. Attendees who indicate CPP status when registering online will receive a certificate at the meeting for one (1) CPP continuing education credit.

Robert J. Sica, a thirty-three year veteran of the U.S. Secret Service, was appointed as the Special Agent in Charge of the New York Field Office in May 2014 after serving as a Deputy Assistant Director in the Office of Strategic Intelligence and Information in Washington, D.C. He has held several executive and senior management positions in the Secret Service in New York and Washington, D.C. He previously served as the Acting Special Agent in Charge and Deputy Special Agent in Charge of the New York Field Office.
He has served nearly half of his career in the New York Field Office and also served on the presidential details for George H. Bush and William J. Clinton.
He is an innovative and result driven executive leader with diversified experience in all areas of executive protection and transnational financial and electronic crime investigations. Mr. Sica’s extensive executive management experience includes the design and implementation of physical security, emerging security technologies, critical infrastructure protection, counter terrorism, and critical incident response.
As an expert in security operational planning, Mr. Sica has designed technical and environmental security countermeasures, conducted strategic risk management and threat assessment analysis, and information systems support. He has extensive operational experience in managing a range of transnational financial and electronic crime investigations to include network intrusions, data breaches, and digital forensics.
While Special Agent in Charge of the National Threat Assessment Center, he testified before the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Homeland Security concerning the agency’s threat assessment and risk management methodologies.
Mr. Sica held a senior interagency position at the Department of Homeland Security where he contributed to the development and integration of national preparedness and response policies and practices related to critical infrastructure protection, counter terrorism, critical incident response, crisis management and recovery, and continuity of operations.
Mr. Sica currently serves as a member of the Federal Executive Board Steering Committee; an Executive Board Member of the New York New Jersey High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area and Executive Board Member of the FBI’s Joint Terrorist Task Force. As a Deputy Assistant Director, he served on the DHS Counter Terrorism Advisory Board and National Security Council Counter Terrorism Support Group.
Mr. Sica is certified by the Federal Emergency Management Agency in Incident Command System for Law Enforcement, Incident Command System for Single Resources and Initial Action Incidents, and National Incident Management System and National Response Framework. He was appointed by the Secretary of Homeland Security as the Federal Coordinator of the United Nations General Assembly 67 in September 2012 and United Nations General Assembly 69 in September 2014. He was again appointed as the Federal Coordinator for the 39th Annual Macy’s Fireworks on July 4, 2015
(SEAR I) and the led the interagency coordination of the operational security design and implementation for the 2015 Papal Visit and UNGA 70 National Special Security Event in New York. This event was the largest protective event in the history of the Secret Service.
Mr. Sica is the recipient of numerous performance awards and commendations from the Secret Service, the Department of the Treasury and the Department of Homeland Security.
