Please join the NYC Chapter for our January 2018 meeting at Rosie O'Grady - 800 7th Avenue, NYC. A sit-down lunch will be served with soft drinks; a drink ticket redeemable for wine or beer will be provided and a cash bar is available for additional beverages. The NYC Chapter welcomes George W. Anderson, Director of Security, World Trade Center Port Authority of NY and NJ as our guest speaker. In addition to his current position as Director of Security, George is a past Chairman of the NYC Chapter, chairs the mentoring program and is an active member of the planning committee for the NYC ASIS Security Conference and Expo. We look forward to hearing from our speaker.
Registration for individuals, groups and tables of ten can be made below. Ticket purchases for 10, 20 and 30 will automatically reserve a table for the company. Attendees who indicate CPP status when registering online will receive a certificate at the meeting for one (1) CPP continuing education credit.

Speaker Bio: George W. Anderson, Director of Security, World Trade Center Port Authority of NY and NJ
George Anderson joined the New York City Housing Police Department in January 1982, and began his career on patrol in Police Service Area (PSA) 5. He was promoted the ranks to Captain in July 1994, and became a member of the NYPD during the merger of the Housing Police in 1995. He continued to move up in the ranks, attaining the rank of Assistant Chief in August 2007, the third highest uniformed rank in the Department. In addition to his patrol work in PSA 5, he commanded the Personnel Bureau’s Staff Services Section and the Police Academy. He also served as the Executive Officer of the Personnel Bureau and the Police Academy. Chief Anderson retired from the NYPD in August, 2011, from the Office of the Chief of Patrol.
After retiring from the Police Department, George joined the security firm of AlliedBarton Security Services, the largest privately-owned American security firm, where he served as Vice President, Operations for the NYC region. His responsibilities included management of security operations for a host of commercial, residential and government clients in the NY region. Notably, George managed the Port Authority of NY and NJ contract for AlliedBarton, providing security services at the major airports of NY and NJ and the World Trade Center.
In October, 2015, George joined the Port Authority of NY and NJ as the Director, World Trade Center Security. In this capacity, George is responsible of the security of this iconic location, home of the Freedom Tower. With his team and in partnership with the Port Authority Police and NYPD, George works to ensure that all who work at and visit the World Trade Center campus are safe and secure.
George served as the Chapter Chair for the NY Chapter of ASIS International in 2014 and 2015, and is currently the Chair of the Private Sector Liaison Committee of the International Association of Chiefs of Police.
In addition to his professional life, George is a member of the Ancient Order of Hibernians, serving as President of Division 1 in Monroe, NY in 2014 and 2015. In addition to his service with the AOH, George was Headquarters Vice President of the NYPD Emerald Society for the better part of his career in the Department.
George has been married to his wife, Kathryn, a pharmacist for CVS, for 32 years, and they are the proud parents of one daughter, Kaitlyn, who currently attends Southern Methodist University, where she is a Senior studying Engineering. They have resided in Monroe, NY since 1988 and prior to that were residents of Queens, NY.
