Brian H. Reich, CPP is the Senior Vice President & Head of Global Security & Investigations for TD Bank, America’s Most Convenient Bank. In that capacity, he oversees a team across the bank’s US footprint responsible for the delivery of all global security & investigative services.
Brian has a diverse background in managing enterprise-wide security risks and brings a broad-based ability to strategically align security risk practices to overall business culture, mission and objectives. He has proven success as a leader of high performance teams to accomplish enterprise driven goals and visions.
In his prior public sector leadership role as the Deputy Chief of the Bergen County, New Jersey Sheriff’s Office, he worked closely with other local, state and federal law enforcement agencies. As the Bureau Chief for the Criminal Investigations Division, he oversaw the region’s Fugitive Task Force, Missing Person’s unit, Internal Affairs, Crime Scene Unit as well as a variety of other specialized units for the 600+ person agency. As deputy chief, he a played a key role in writing New Jersey’s first Statewide Child Abduction Response Team (CART) Attorney General directive and served on a panel of experts who advised the Attorney General and other state leaders. As deputy chief, he was also responsible for the physical security and safety of Bergen County’s Justice Complex and led key initiatives to secure millions of dollars in funding to implement changes in legacy technology and physical security upgrades. During Brian’s prior career as a Detective with the Bergen County, New Jersey Prosecutor’s Office, he was assigned to various specialized units that included the Special Victims Squad, Computer Crimes Unit, and the Major Crimes Squad. Brian also served nearly a decade as a uniformed police officer patrolling culturally diverse communities in northern New Jersey.
Brian is a member of ASIS International, the premier global security leadership organization, and he is an ASIS International Board Certified Protection Professional (CPP) and a DRI International certified Business Continuity Professional. Brian served as the Chairman of the ASIS International Law Enforcement Liaison Council where he provided strategic leadership to an elite group of senior level security and law enforcement executives from around the world. He currently serves as a member of the ASIS International Foundation Board of Trustees as well as a member of the Board of Directors for the New York City chapter, the second largest ASIS Chapter in the world. Additionally, Brian is a member of the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children’s (NCMEC) Board of Director’s law enforcement committee and works to help NCMEC forge public private partnerships to help communities keep children safe, and prevent child abductions and the exploitation and abuse of children.
Brian’s academic credentials include a Bachelor of Arts in Communications; Master of Science degree in Administration; the John F. Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University Executive program for Crisis Management graduate; the West Point Command and Leadership program graduate and the International Security Management Association (ISMA) Executive Management program at Georgetown University.
Brian has been a featured speaker at many seminars and industry events to include the Florida Police Chief’s annual training conference, the International Association of Professional Security Consultants along with NYPD’s former Police Commissioner William J. Bratton and a featured speaker at the FBI National Academy Associates annual training conference held in Seattle, Washington.
