Brian H. Reich, CPP is the Director of corporate security at Capital One Financial. In that capacity, he oversees a team responsible for the delivery of corporate security services for a domestic and international footprint. Prior to joining Capital One, Brian was the Director of corporate security for the Northeastern, US at Time Warner Cable and also served in the Global Investigations division of Prudential Financial.
During his prior 20+ year career in law enforcement, Brian was the Deputy Chief of the Bergen County, New Jersey Sheriff’s Office and served as the Bureau Chief for the Criminal Investigations Division where he oversaw the county’s fugitive task force, missing person’s unit, crime scene unit as well as a variety of other specialized units, which included the Office of Standards and Ethics for the agency’s 500+ employees. As Deputy Chief, Brian led all external law enforcement partnership programs, which included the NYPD Operation Sentry Counterterrorism Coalition and the NY/NJ Regional Fugitive Task Force. During Brian’s law enforcement career, he earned his detective shield with assignments in the Prosecutor’s Office countywide Special Victims Squad, Computer Crimes Unit, and Major Crimes Squad. Before joining the County of Bergen, Brian served as a uniform police officer in one of Bergen County’s most culturally diverse and densely populated municipalities.
Brian is active in global leadership with ASIS International having served as the Chairman of the ASIS International Law Enforcement Liaison Council, (LELC) from 2010-2013 and selected by President Raymond O’Hara as the 2012 Outstanding Council Chairman of the Year. Brian previously served as a director with the ASIS International Professional Certification Board, (PCB) and is currently a member of the ASIS International Foundation Board of Trustees.
Brian is an ASIS board Certified Protection Professional, (CPP), has a Bachelor’s degree in Communications and a Master of Science degree in Administration. He is a graduate of the Harvard University, John F. Kennedy School of Government’s Executive Leadership and Crisis Management Program and completed the ISMA Executive Security Management program held at Georgetown University. He’s also a graduate of the West Point Command & Leadership program.
